This quote is just too great - so, of course, I have to share it on my blog. From a good college friend of mine, Aaron Ackland (originally from the comic Calvin and Hobbes - but I heard it from Aaron first):
"Who had the brains to look at a cow and say, 'I'm going to drink whatever comes out of that thing?'"

a really neat quote
I know, I know, I just posted something the other day ... but I found this quote and I just HAD to put it up here. It's too cool for words. :)
“Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you.... The one who turns to his friends and says, 'that's her.'” ~Author Unknown

YOU have forgiven
Well, I made a video blog yesterday, but my internet connection won't allow me to upload it. Oh how dreadfully annoying.
Anyways, hopefully I'll be able to load it at the next RV park - or the Library - whichever comes first.
Here's a song ... that is currently my favorite song. It's called "Forgiven" and it's just amazing. Everything I've ever done - terrible wretched things I've done - He has forgiven. Wow. Sometimes it's just so overwhelming.
'Forgiven' on Youtube
'Forgiven' on Tangle
(take your pick of links ... I know some people can't view Youtube videos because of internet filters, while Tangle has strange ads. Anyways. Enjoy it!)

Whoot! We're in the Yakima Valley!
EDIT: Well everyone - I decided that my 'dramatic monologue' was just toooo much. :P SO unlike me, and kinda corny. If you didn't get to see it, then just disregard this EDIT message and have a wonderful week!
So yes, we are now in the Yakima Valley of Washington state. We got here late Sunday night - after a rather long drive from Sequim. (Btw, the Yakima Valley sits in the middle of Washington ... in the southern middle part, rather.) But we are finally here! After not being in this area for two whole, long years - it's rather nice to be back. Kinda feels like home in this valley, I've been here so many times.
The Aderhold family plan of attack is as follows:
A. PRAY!!! Man, we have been searching for a new place to live since 2003, and God just hasn't shown us what He wants us to do yet. All of us want to move SO badly, but it's all up to God.
B. Search!!!! Wahoo - we are going land searching! Basically that means, loads of internet looking, and loads of driving around. Which = lots of in-the-car study time!
C. Hopefully, prayerfully, buy some land. Then go back to SD, sell our house, move - and all the fun stuff that goes with that. :D
Okay - real quick - other than being in WA and looking for land .... I've been doing good! Kind of overwhelmed right now with the whole school thing - more on figuring out how to balance everything. The rest of my family is doing good too - at least, that I know of. ;) :D
I hope you all have a fantastic week!! God bless!!!

.... coming soon!
EDIT: So I have a new-looking blog! What do you all think? And thanks much to Liza for her suggesting this place! I like this new layout a lot. :)
Here's something to get your mouth watering a bit ladies and gentlemen ... !!! Okay, not really, I'm just thinking of updating the overall design for my blog. So, the first logical choice is, of course, to Google search 'custom blog template'. Well, the first site I found had some rather nice looking ones! I clicked on the one with butterflies ... *cough cough* it was $1000. No joke! Crazyness. Needless to say, I then Googled 'free custom blog template' and found some much nicer things in my price range (which is $0-$0). I found one with the Taj Mahal on it ... what do you think of that?! hehe
Okay, before this post gets too long and boring, I'll sign off. But! My blog might have a new look to it soon - just as a hint. ;)

being thankful
Oh deary me ... how can I ever complain about anything? I have a wonderful family, great friends, oodles of books, clothes, food, an amazing education, a house, clean water, shampoo, music, a computer etc. etc. Most of all, I have a fantastic Father who loves me no matter what - and who sent His one and only Son to die ... for me. So why in the name of all that is good and pure do I ever complain?

it's not working - or something
Hello everyone! Well, it seems that my blog is not working ... I have had a few people say to me that they can only see one post and the top banner on my blog. Not my profile, or side thingys, or any other posts! SO! Could you do me a favor? Just share a comment or send me an email - saying what exactly you can see on my blog? I'm curious to know if everyone is having the same problem ... if so, I can go from there. That would be really great - thanks so much!

sharing a good blog
I have linked to this blog before ... but I'm going to do it again. :) Read this post: Confessions of an Undisciplined Reader. It's very interesting and very good. And ... dare I confess this myself, I have the same problem.
Why is it so terribly difficult to finish what I start? I see a new book on the shelf in the book store or the library, and I have to get it! Instead of remembering that I have 10 books back home that I'm in the middle of, and 5 more that I really need to read - that I haven't started yet.
So thanks to Anthony at the A Generation For Truth blog for sharing this - it's something I need to work on fixing (with God's help) as well.
