the joys of cooking. and other stuff. :)

With the dance recital being over, I have a little more free time (yay!). With that free time - I have been 'promoted' to being the chef in my family. Dad says I could use the practice (wonder what he was implying... lol). Anyways - I've been cooking up a storm! It's been interesting, because all my life I have been a baker, not a cook. My family actually jokes that my poor husband will only be eating sweets because that's all I'll make. It's been fun though, I've made some different things - some good, and some - well - interesting. :D

So besides cooking - what else am I up to these days? Well - I'm sewing a bridesmaids dress for a friend's wedding I'm in!!! It's chocolate brown velvet, princess seams, tank, floor length... gorgeous! I hope I do a nice job of sewing it - my fingers may be shaking from excitement - I'm soooo happy for my dear friend!!!!

I also was able, by God's amazing blessings, to get a job with CollegePlus! making College Algebra videos as CLEP test prep. The deadline is a little tight, but what could be better than doing math day in and day out?! I do love it.

I'll have to end here... my Eggplant Parmesan will be done soon, and my brothers are looking pretty starved! Until next time.... adios, and enjoy the lovely weather!

points matter

This made me laugh. Found it while stalking (not really... just looking at someone's Google Buzz posts :D ). Regardless of where I found it, it's funny, don't take it too seriously, and do have a good laugh.

In the world of romance, one single rule applies: Make the woman happy. Do something she likes and you get points. Do something she dislikes and points are subtracted. You don't get any points for doing something she expects. Sorry, that's the way the game is played. Here is a guide to the point system.

whoot! <-- yes, that's how it's spelled. hehe.

First of all, I just wanna say a huge THANK YOU to my wonderful family for all the surprises and gifts to mark the occasion for me finishing college. You guys are toooo special :)

With that, I guess this is the official announcement.... I am done with college! *epic dance party* To answer any future questions people might have -- no, I'm not planning on getting a Masters degree or anything. I would like to take Calculus II or a Photography class at some point... but other than that I'm quite happy with my BA in English.

After college plans? Dance recital in May, weddings to attend in June, weddings to attend (and one to be in!) in July, 3 dance camps to teach in July, take August off (or family trip? not sure yet) - and September - who knows! But those are my plans for now. :)

And now - I happily await the arrival of my diploma in the mail. :D
