A Young Maiden's Daybook - 1

Today… is Monday, March 16, 2009.

Outside my window… it's foggy, but looks to be sunny later on!

I am thinking… that I should get something to eat - and the lyrics of a Coldplay song are stuck in my head.

I am thankful for… my friends, family - and the fact that I am getting an education!

I am wearing… jeans, a cherry print skirt, a red t-shirt that I got in 2004 from a play I was in, one of my Dad's old basketball sweatshirts, and knee-high striped socks.

I am reading… ''Heaven'' by Randy Alcorn, Isaiah and Psalms.

I am creating… coasters to sell in my onlin
e store, and signs for my Tap recital dance.

One of my favorite things… peanut butter and music.

For education this week… I take Principles of Management CLEP tomorrow, then I start studying for American Government CLEP.

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning … doing laundry. Loads and loads of it. (pun intended :) )

A spiritual lesson I’m learning… to have respect for my elders, friends, parents - pretty much everyone.

A godly character trait I plan to work on… to be more humble. Especially when I do well on my College work - not to brag about it.

Scripture I am memorizing… Psalm 121 in Spanish!

I am praying for… the Ackland family, my friends, my aunt, my family that I love.

For the rest of the week… I plan to stay on top of my studies, not chat too much with my friends, and really REALLY try to respect my Mom. And play outside with my brothers.

A picture I’d like to share ... this was from our trip in the summer of 2007 - I took this picture in the Black Hills of SD. Isn't it pretty?

  4. Alexandra,

Nice to meet you! I enjoyed reading your daybook too. My real name is India, actually! My parents like unusual names. Have a good weekend!
